私たちは、周囲にあまりにもたくさんある文化財になれっこになって、その存在を当然のように思いがちである。しかしほんとうは、一つ一つの文化財は、それを維持するために尽くしてきた数多くの人々の多年の努力の結晶なのだ。文化財をおろそかにすることは、そうした人々の努力をないがしろにすることであるという事実を忘れてはならない。

We regard many cultural assets surrounding us as natural things, and tend to accept it as natural order of things. However, in fact, each cultural assets is a result of an effort that many people have done anything to maintain the assets for many years. You should not forget the fact that to neglect the assets is to think their efforts is a casual thing.

複数形にしてしまう間違いがよくみられるので、
注意しましょう。

(D)「何年間もそれを維持するために」
to maintain the assets for many years
と表現します。
to不定詞で「～するために」、
anythingは不要です。

努力の結晶はthe crown of one's labors、
the fruits of one's labor
などといった表現がよくつかわれます。

Each cultural asset is the fruits of labor by a number of people who devoted themselves in preserving it for many years.
なんていう訳し方でもいいでしょう。
